Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a free plan?
Yes. Password Pusher is free forever for basic password and secret sharing — no account required. Solo, Team, and Organization unlock additional features like file uploads, custom branding, team collaboration, and custom domains.
What happens when my trial ends?
A credit card is required to start your 14-day trial. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your subscription activates automatically and you will be billed for the plan you selected. If you cancel during the trial, your workspace reverts to the free tier — no charges, no lock-out, and no data lost.
What's the difference between Solo, Team, and Organization?
Solo is for individuals who need file sharing, personal branding, a complete white-label solution, a custom domain, and email auto-dispatch. Team adds collaboration for small teams — seats, role-based access, security policies, and 2FA enforcement. Organization adds IT-configured OAuth SSO and sending notifications from your own email domain.
What are team members?
Team members are people in your organization who create and manage pushes. Recipients — the people who receive and view your shared secrets — are always unlimited and free on every plan.
Is my data secure?
All data is encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM and in transit with TLS 1.2+. Pushes are ephemeral — they self-destruct after a configurable number of views or time period. The security-critical codebase is fully open source and auditable.
Where is my data stored?
We operate two independent data regions: EU (Netherlands) and US. Your push data is processed solely within your chosen region and never transferred outside it. See our GDPR page for details.
Can I switch plans later?
Yes. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time. Changes take effect immediately, and billing is prorated. If you cancel, you keep access to your paid features until the end of your current billing period.
Do you offer a self-hosted option?
Yes. If you need to deploy Password Pusher on your own infrastructure for compliance or data sovereignty requirements, we offer self-hosted plans with Docker, Kubernetes (Helm charts), and other deployment options.
Open Source Security

Security you can verify

Password Pusher's security-critical code — encryption, data handling, expiry, and audit logging — is fully open source and auditable. Closed-source components are feature code (team management, branding), never security code.
